Vanderbilt University welcomes all interested international students to apply for our merit-based scholarships. All merit-based scholarships offered at Vanderbilt are full tuition scholarships with at least one $5,000 stipend and are renewable through four years of undergraduate study as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic performance. Vanderbilt offers the following three signature scholarships:
The Ingram Scholarship is for students who plan to combine a professional or business career with an exceptional commitment to community service. The program supports students who are committed to developing their personal roles in the solution to societal problems and who have the maturity and initiative to lead positive social change.
The Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship is for students who combine outstanding academic achievement with strong leadership and contributions outside the classroom.
The Chancellor’s Scholarship is for students with outstanding high school records who have worked to build strong high school communities by bridging gaps among economically, socially, and racially diverse groups and who have demonstrated significant interest in issues of diversity education, tolerance, and social justice.
Students interested in being considered for the Ingram, Cornelius Vanderbilt and/or Chancellor’s Scholarship Program must submit the Student Information Form and the additional application form for the particular program(s) to which they are applying. Applications for the Ingram Scholarship Program must be submitted electronically by December 1, 2012 for prospective freshmen students. All other scholarship applications must be submitted electronically by December 15, 2012.
If students have financial need that amounts to more than the cost of tuition, students will need to apply for need-based financial aid by completing the CSS Financial Aid PROFILE. For students admitted to Vanderbilt, all demonstrated financial need will be met through institutional resources.
