ImageSince its founding in 1867, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has earned a reputation as a world-class leader in research, teaching, and public engagement. A talented and highly respected faculty is the University’s most significant resource. Many are recognized for exceptional scholarship with memberships in such organizations as the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences, and the National Academy of Engineering. Their faculty have been awarded Nobel Prizes, Pulitzer Prizes, and the Fields Medal in Mathematics.The success of their faculty is matched by that of their alumni: 11 are Nobel laureates and another 18 have won Pulitzer Prizes.

The UIUC Avery Brundage Scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate excellence both in academic pursuits and in amateur athletic endeavors. Financial need is not a factor. Full-time graduate students in good standing with a “special athletic ability” in an amateur sport are eligible. Previous winners have represented a wide variety of sports from archery and tennis to swimming and wheelchair basketball.

UNOH is currently in the process of building a brand new Women’s Soccer team that will begin in the fall season of 2013. UNOH is very interested in recruiting top level international athletes that are interested in studying and playing soccer at a high level in America. A total of 5 Scholarships are being offered.
